“It’s good news” Possibly the best words you’ll ever hear after a period of illness. I remember the first time my Cardiologist said them to me; it was eight months after my open heart surgery, at his follow-up clinic and I’d just had two hours of scans and tests to review my progress. It was a day I wanted to celebrate. I wanted to walk up to strangers and hug them (and I think I did actually hug the man in the carpark) and share my news.
As a Celebrant, I help people celebrate the people and moments in their lives that they will always remember. The loved ones who left memories that will always matter, the new additions who change what “family” looks like, the news which brings such joy and relief it marks a goal post, a moment you want to share with those you love.
As a woman who has survived serious illness, I love to help people celebrate their wellness; moving on with a new life when you were not sure you had any time left, can have an enormous impact on you, your family and your friends. It is rare to get through these challenges without help from those who love and care about you, and indeed they are often as keen to celebrate your wellness as you are.
If you’re looking forward instead of back for the first time in a long time, and you’d like to create a celebration to help you start planning a future of wellness, I’d love to talk to you.
