Celebrant-lead Services during COVID-19

During the current COVID-19 outbreak, there are many disruptions to our lives. The need for physical distancing from each other means that most traditionally delivered ceremonies can not go ahead. Services during COVID-19 including Life Celebrations, funerals, memorials and also weddings and vow-renewals have all been impacted.

Sharing a hug at this time is much missed

For families experiencing loss at this challenging time, it can feel as though you have no chance to grieve. Holding a ceremony during the outbreak is becoming more and more isolating, and I believe it is not long before we will be told that only private ceremonies and direct cremations can be held.

There are other options, thanks to modern technology, that we can use to help families at their time of loss to hold a gathering, online, to provide support and comfort. Whilst nobody will actually be in the same space, they are able to make a visual and emotional connection.

If you would like to find out about creating a life celebration which we can hold on-line, do get in touch. All my fees are reduced at this time, to allow for the lack of travel time involved.

If you are suffering financial hardship, please do not allow this to be the reason you do not contact me; we can always sort that out at a later time.

The advice from the Government on how services can be held, during the COVID-19 outbreak, are being constantly updated, and you can see the latest details here:

Wedding Blessings and Vow Renewals

Until further notice, no wedding parties can take place in the UK. However, there is the option to carry out an online celebration. If you have family members and friends around the world they can join you in a virtual party. Using one of several, excellent, online platforms, we can still organise a wedding blessing if you are already legally married. Do get in touch and ask me for more details.
