Which direction will you choose?

We will reach many cross-roads in our journey through life; some of them will be planned and longed for, others might not be so welcome.  Each time we reach one of these landmarks, we can make a choice about the direction we choose to go.  Choice always exists, no matter how challenging the situation might appear, no matter how difficult to make, it is ours.

I have made many choices on my journey that have gone against the suggested, or planned route.  Often working against a tide of opinion that the route I was choosing was full of dangers and unknowns.  Advice that there was an easier, or more direct route I could choose were not on my sat nav!  I was choosing the road less travelled and finding there was a way through when I was so often told the path would be blocked.

Which direction will you choose today and who will you take with you?  Our travelling companions can support us in our choices and share our experiences and lighten our load.

Have a wonder-filled Wednesday and enjoy your choice of direction

  1. Fantastic post, thank you Dinah 🙂

I have just finished reading the book ‘Turning Points’ which is all about the difficult choices that 25 women (writing about their experiences) had to make.

That book and this post are great reminders that we can control how our own lives develop and make them happen ourselves!

    1. Thank you Shona, that sounds like one for the reading list – will look for it today. So glad you enjoyed the blog.
Taking responsibility for our choices and outcomes is liberating and the results are so exciting.

  2. I was just thinking about this when I took a look at the blog.
I have chosen to follow my Heart, to keep putting one step in front of the other and keep following my dream
I have chosen to find the best people to come with me on the journey, those who love me enough to tell me what I need to hear even if sometimes it’s not easy to hear it. Sometimes to encourage me to be bold and step out of my comfort zone, sometimes to be sensible and not do something I think might work but in hindsight would not.

    1. Thank you Jay,
Those choices, made with the support of others, are truly what makes the difference. Wonderful to hear that those around you support – and challenge – your choices! Keep making those choices and following you heart Jay.
      Dinah x
